Fondant Recipe - How to make Fondant at home easily


Many of my YouTube channel subscribers and cake class students have requested me to share fondant recipe and how to make it at home. Let me share with you all this easy fondant recipe. Personally I don't prefer making fondant at home because fondant is easily available in the market with all the basic colors and it is of professional quality. You can make use of below fondant recipe at home if it's not available in your city. 


Equipment:
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Saucepan (deep cooking pan)

Ingredients:

·         7 cup icing sugar sifted
·         1 ½ tbsp glycerin
·         1/2 cup glucose syrup
·         1 tbsp gelatin powder
·         1/4 cup cold water
·         1 tsp vanilla essence

Method:
  1. Sift the icing sugar into a large non-metal bowl and then make a well in the center.
  2. In a small saucepan, add water and gelatin. Over a low heat, dissolve the gelatin. Do not let it boil.
  3. Remove saucepan from the heat and add the glycerin and glucose syrup. Stir until combined well, then add vanilla essence.
  4. Pour the gelatin mixture into the well in the icing sugar.
  5. Mix until all of the icing sugar is combined with the mixture. Knead the icing until it is well combined and smooth.
Tip:
  • Put a thin layer of frosting on the cake first for the fondant to stick well.
